This guide will help you learn the basics of 100 Odd Cards!

Let's set up!

Shuffle the deck of cards. Deal 5 cards to each player.

Decide on who'll start out as the leader. If the group can't decide, the person who is reading the instructions right now is the first Leader.

(Why wouldn’t they?)

Only for the first round: the Leader starts by tossing the Rule Coin and letting it land naturally.

If it lands on +, the reveal order goes to their right (counterclockwise).

If it lands on -, the reveal order goes to their left (clockwise).

Pick your cards!

From your hand, pick one or two cards.

If you only play one, you can pick any card, without restrictions.

If you want to play two, they must be of different types: one of them must be a light card and the other must be a dark card.

Place them face-down. Remember which is which!

If you play two cards of the same type, you will not be able to win during the round. In addition, you will not be allowed to draw any new cards in the next round.

These penalties overrule effects like Truce or Treasure.

Reveal your cards!

When everyone has locked in their cards, players will take turns revealing

their card(s), one at a time, starting from the Leader. Read out the score, and if it has an effect then read it out too and follow its instructions.

Below is a showcase of a hypothetical reveal round.

All players have chosen the cards they want to play and put them face-down.

If the coin has this side up, the player with the highest score wins!

If the coin has this side up, the player with the lowest score wins!

Note that it is possible for multiple players to win if they have the same score. This includes all players if everyone somehow gets the same score.

Wrapping up the round

If you won the round, put any cards you played that round face-up next to you. This is your win pile! If you can get 7 cards in your win pile, you win the game!

If you did not win, put any cards you played in a discard pile beside the deck.

Once everyone's done, the current round is over and the next round begins.

All players may draw cards until they have 5 cards in their hand once more. (Unless an effect from the previous round tells you to not draw. Or draw more than the usual!)

The role of Leader is passed over to the next player in line.

Now, back to the Pick your cards! step, until someone has 7 cards in their win pile!

Good Luck!
